Spirituality, Sufism & Starbucks: An Interview with Sufi Master, Daud Scott How to protect yourself from Jinn

Spirituality, Sufism & Starbucks: An Interview with Sufi Master, Daud Scott -

My intention for starting this series, on Jinn, was to provide you with the imperative information, in order to protect yourself from its danger. I am overwhelmed with the wealth of positive feedback I continue to get on my Spiritual column. Most notably, last week’s article on Jinn, sparked further positivity! Thank you for your kind and supporting words.

As a follow up from last week’s article on Jinn, I intended to provide you with information on how to tell if you are in the company of Jinn or if one is taking residence, in you. However, after increased contemplation, I felt it was best to invite my Sufi master, Daud Scott, to be the source of information. While I have not had the same amount of spiritual and religious training as Daud, I believe he is more skilled in discussing this, than I.

Daud Scott is a student of Islamic Spirituality and has been taught and initiated at the hands of Sheikh Abdul Kerim (q.s) and Sheikh Muhammad Adil Nazim Al Haqqani (q.s) of the Naqshbandi Order. Daud reverted to the path of Islam at the young age of 17, during his senior year of high school in 1992. Daud has traveled the world extensively in the pursuit of knowledge and the understanding of the human condition. Daud is the owner of Natures First Path, a holistic wellness practice aimed at providing nutritional healing, mindfulness therapy and naturopathic consulting.

The below interview will touch upon the importance of protecting oneself from the negative forces, including but not limited to, Jinn and sihr.

Suggested tips on methods of removal:

  1. Recite Quran over water, the Nushrah method: stone grinding seven lotus leaves, placing them in a container of water and reciting: Surah Kafirun, Surah Ikhlas, verse 255 of Surah Baqarah and Surah Fatiha. The one inflicted drinks three mouthfuls and then bathes in the remainder of the water.
  2. Purify your heart: Step 1, becoming regular with your fard prayers. Step 2, doing daily dhikr
  3. Regular recitation of Dua Ruqaya
  4. Removing the spirit: this step requires you to work with a trained Sheikh who specializes in exorcism.

If I have said anything offensive or incorrect, I sincerely seek your forgiveness and pardon. For that is from my own ignorance. If I have said anything of benefit or inspiration, all praise is due to the Creator, Lord of the worlds, both seen and unseen.

In love and light.
