The month of Dhul Hijja is approaching, which means Eid al-Adha is near. Eid al-Adha is the second of the two Islamic holidays we celebrate each year and is sometimes known as “The Big Eid” (at least it was to me and all my cousins growing up). With Eid approaching, many of us will spend hours searching online for the perfect Eid outfit, going through countless profiles of hijabi fashion bloggers, and looking for the latest in modest fashion trends for Eid #ootd inspiration. I’m here to make things easier on you as I’ve done the leg (or thumb) work and found some fresh companies in the modest fashion scene that are incorporating all of the latest trends in their designs.
From beautiful abayas and scarves to dresses, tops, and pants that suit the style of every hijabista, you’ll find yourself ditching mainstream department stores and saying goodbye to endless searches for long and loose clothing that still makes you look stylish and cute. The modest fashion industry is growing by the minute and thanks to the many new, fabulous companies joining the movement, they’ve got us covered!
Let’s get started…
Delicate Hijabi (@delicatehijabi) is your place for everything maxi – dresses, skirts, cardigans – they have them all. The floral prints on their maxi dresses provide that soft, summer look you might be going for. And their gem-toned maxi skirts can be paired with a striped top or scarf to go with the color-blocking trend or with a solid top of the same color for that monochromatic look.
Store WF (@storewf) has become a fast new favorite of hijabi bloggers and trendsetters alike. With their unique take on dresses, tunics, and trousers to the interesting patterns on their kaftans and kimonos, Store WF provides fantastic Eid outfit options for the adventurous fashionista.
Inayah (@inayahc) gives me such elegant and classy vibes. Their long shirts and dresses are not only beautiful but are of amazing quality. A simple shirt with a collar can dress up a regular pair of jeans for a great night out look. They offer items in a range of beautiful colors, so you can give your outfit that pop of color, if that’s what you’re looking for.
Verona Collection (@veronacollection) offers beautiful abayas, long cardigans, printed shirts, hijabs, and long shirts. Verona gives street style a beautiful, modest twist. Pair a long cardigan or shirt with ripped jeans and heels and you’re ready to go!
Sohamt Collection (@sohamt.collection) is the place to go if you’ve ever tried to find skirts or bodycon dresses that actually fit you properly AND reach your ankles. The bodycon dresses come in a variety of colors and patterns. Layer one of their open abayas (my favorite at the moment is the sands of the desert one) over it and you have the perfect Eid outfit.
Infinite Abaya (@infiniteabaya) is a great place to find everyday wear that you can put together to create fabulous outfits for any occasion – especially Eid. From vests and dusters to tunics and kimonos, all come in hijab-friendly lengths that are hard to come by during traditional department store shopping. They have floral maxi dresses that I absolutely adore, and I really like how they feature modest apparel modeled by both hijabi and non-hijabi women alike. It proves that modest styles can be enjoyed by anyone.
Urban Modesty (@urbanmodesty1) has an elegant range of abayas, dresses, skirts, and scarves. Side note: their evening gown collection is spectacular – not for Eid, obviously, but you’ll want to put a pin in it for future reference. Personally, I love the details on their open abayas such as lace trim on the front and bottom and the subtle yet fun details on their cardigans like polka dots. There is such a feeling of chic that goes along with everything Urban Modesty offers.
Niswa Fashion (@niswafashion) is a can’t-miss shop when you’re looking for the perfect Eid outfit. They offer dresses, long tops, and scarves in many colors, prints, and patterns. I love the embroidery they’ve incorporated into both their scarves and dresses. It gives a bit of a fancy touch without looking too dressy, if you’re not into bling and shine in your Eid outfits. And you can’t buy one of their dresses without pairing it with one of their cotton scarves! The material is everything a hijabi is looking for – you will not be disappointed.
Hijab House (@hijab_house) does modesty right by incorporating all of the latest fashion trends into their blouses and dresses. Their collections maintain a modern feel and provide all the right kinds of coverage. I loved their Corsica Striped Maxi Dress. It was the perfect summer 2017 dress!
Aab Collection (@aabcollection) has so many different styles of clothing on their site, it’ll be hard to choose just one look! What really caught my eye was their flare trousers. They’re loose and look like the most comfortable pants to wear for a beautiful summer day. And since Eid falls near the end of the summer, these pants are the perfect transition for your summer to fall looks.
